Thin Crust Pizza

Ingredients

  • 1/3 Pizza Dough recipe
  • 1 T olive oil
  • 5 oz pasta sauce (marinara)
  • 4/3 c mozzarella cheese
  • Toppings as desired (olives, sausage, peperoni, salami, pineapple, artichokes, hot cherry peppers, roasted bell peppers, bell peppers, etc.)

    Directions

  • Preheat oven to 450 °F.

  • Add oil to bottom of 12 inch skillet
  • Swirl skillets so that oil coats bottom of the skillet.
  • Role out each portion of dough on a wetted surface, until about 10-12 inches in diameter, using water to wet the rolling pin.
  • Transfer dough to oiled skillet
  • Add 5 oz pasta sauce
  • Add 4/3 c mozzarella cheese
  • Add toppings as desired
  • Cook in oven for at least 17 minutes, some toppings may require longer time. [Check for light browning around the edges of the dough; the lower position of the oven does not cook as quickly as the middle position.]
  • Pizzas can be immediately removed from the pan to a cutting board.
  • Hot pan can be cycled with a new pizza after adding more oil.
