Manicotti

Ingredients
Stuffed Pasta
- 14 manicotti pasta shells
- 3 1/2 c shredded mozarella cheese
- 2 c ricotta cheese
- 8 tbsp chopped fresh basil or 2 2/3 tbsp dried basil
- 1 tsp ground black pepper
- 1 1/4 c chopped ingredients, such as a combo of black olives, canned mushrooms, dried salami, or other preferred ingredients
Dish Filling
- 1 c shredded mozarella cheese
- 30 oz marinara sauce, divided
- heaping 1/2 c grated parmesan cheese
Directions
- Preheat oven to 350 F.
- Cook pasta in boiling, salted water till al dente.
- Drain and rinse with cool water.
- Let dry on cutting board.
- Spray 13 by 9-inch baking dish with non-stick cooking spray.
- Pour 2 c of the marinara sauce into the baking dish.
- Mix all other Stuffed Pasta ingredients in large bowl.
- Use small spoon to carefully fill manicotti with Stuffed Pasta mixture.
- Place filled manicotti into baking dish.
- Pour remaining marinara sauce over top of manicotti and top with the 1 c of mozarella.
- Bake manicotti uncovered for 15 min.
- Top with parmesan.
- Bake further 10 min.
