Cincinnati Chili

Ingredients
- 12 oz dry whole wheat spaghetti
- 2 tsp olive oil
- 1 medium onion
- 3 cloves garlic
- 2 tbsp chili powder
- 1 tbsp cocoa powder
- 1 tbsp brown sugar
- 1 tsp ground cinnamon
- 2 tsp ground cumin
- 2 tsp salt
- 1 tsp black pepper
- 28 oz can crushed tomatoes
- 15 oz can kidney beans
- 15 oz can navy beans
- 1 c shredded cheddar cheese
Directions
- Break spaghetti in thirds and cook in large pot of boiling, salted water.
- Drain spaghetti.
- In large saucepan, heat oil to med-high, and saute onion and garlic.
- After 3 min, add chili powder, cocoa, cinnamon, cumin, salt, and pepper.
- Cook 1 min, and then add tomatoes.
- Simmer 8 min to slightly thicken.
- Add beans and heat through.
- Top spaghetti with sauce and cheese.
