Doubletree Chocolate Chip Cookie

Ingredients
- 1 c butter, softened
- 3/4 c + 1 tbsp granulated sugar
- 3/4 c packed brown sugar
- 2 large eggs
- 1 1/4 tsp vanilla extract
- 1/4 tsp lemon juice
- 2 1/4 c all-purpose flour
- 1/2 c rolled oats
- 1 tsp baking soda
- 1 tsp salt
- 1/8 tsp cinnamon
- 1 3/4 c chopped walnuts
- 2 2/3 c semi-sweet chocolate chips
Directions
- Preheat oven to 300°F.
- Cream butter, sugar, and brown sugar in the bowl of a stand mixer on medium speed for about 2 minutes.
- Add eggs, vanilla, and lemon juice to mixer bowl.
- Blend with mixer on low speed for 30 seconds and then scrape down bowl.
- Beat on medium speed for about 2 minutes, or until light and fluffy.
- With mixer on low speed, add flour, oats, baking soda, salt, and cinnamon until barely incorporated.
- Remove bowl from mixer and stir in chocolate chips and walnuts.
- Scoop 2-tbsp balls of cookie dough about 2 inches apart onto a baking sheet lined with a silicon mat.
- Bake until edges are golden brown and center is still soft (about 15-20 min).
- Remove from oven and cool on baking sheet for about 1 hour.
