Cherry Chocolate Cookies

Ingredients

  • 2 1/2 c old-fashioned oats
  • 3/4 c all-purpose flour
  • 1/4 c brown sugar
  • 1 tsp baking powder
  • 1/4 tsp baking soda
  • heaping 1/4 tsp ground cinnamon
  • 1/8 tsp salt
  • 1/2 c plus 1 tbsp milk
  • 1/4 c maple syrup
  • 1 egg or 1 flax egg (1 tbsp ground flax plus 2 1/2 tbsp water)
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1/3 c chocolate chips
  • 1/2 c dried cherries

Directions

  • Pre-heat oven to 350 F.
  • Line baking sheets with silicone mats or parchment paper.
  • Thoroughly mix oats, flour, sugar, baking powder, baking soda, cinnamon, and salt.
  • Add milk, syrup, egg, and vanilla and stir until just combined.
  • Stir in chips and cherries.
  • Scoop cookie batter onto lined baking sheets.
  • Bake for 12-15 min.
