Hummus
Adapted from How to Cook Everything: The Basics by Mark Bittman

Ingredients
- 4 med garlic cloves, peeled and end cut off
- 3 1/2 c cooked chickpeas, cooking liquid reserved (2 15-oz can chickpeas, canning liquid reserved)
- 1/4 c chickpea cooking (or canning) liquid
- 1 c tahini
- 1/2 c olive oil
- 1/4 c lemon juice
- 2 tbsp ground cumin
- 1 1/2 tsp salt
- 1/2 tsp ground black pepper
Directions
- Place garlic in food processor with blade attachment and pulse food procesor until garlic is chopped.
- Add all other ingredients to food processor and run until hummus is completely combined and smooth.
